COVID19 positive

Tripura has registered 26 more COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 867.

Confirming the news, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a tweet at 9.39 pm on Tuesday said a total of 1,450 samples were tested for COVID19 in the state on Tuesday, out of which 26 were found positive for the virus.

The chief minister also informed that 18 infected patients are from the Sepahijala district, 6 positive cases are from the South Tripura district while 2 other positive cases have been detected in the Khowai district.

“Out of 1450 samples tested for COVID-19, 26 people found #POSITIVE.  Today’s count includes: Sepahijala District:18.  South District: 06. Khowai District: 02,” chief minister Deb tweeted.

On Monday, Tripura registered 38 COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 841.

Chief minister Deb in a tweet at 9.51 pm on Monday said a total of 1,480 samples were tested in the state on the for COVID19, out of which 38 were found positive.

With nearly 10,000 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID19 positive cases on Tuesday hit a new high, crossing the 2.66 lakh-mark.

The death toll in India has crossed the 7,400-mark.
