Assam has registered 69 more COVID19 positive cases, taking the overall tally to 2,937.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Tuesday evening said the new positive cases have been reported from 14 districts.

Sarma said 13 COVID19 positive cases have been reported from Kamrup, 11 cases have been reported from Jorhat district, 9 cases have been reported from Nagaon and 8 positive cases have been detected in Hojai district.
The health minister also informed that 5 new positive cases have been reported from Karimganj district, 5 positive cases have been detected in Dhemaji district and 4 cases have been reported from Lakhimpur district.
While 4 positive cases have been reported from Golaghat district, 3 cases have been reported from Hailakandi district and 3 cases have been reported from Kamrup (R).

Cachar, Darrang, Sonitpur, and South Salmara Mankachar districts have reported one positive case each, the health minister informed.
“Alert ~ 69 new #COVID19+. 13 Kamrup, 11 Jorhat, 9 Nagaon, 8 Hojai, 5 K’ganj, 5 Dhemaji, 4 L’pur, 4 G’ghat, 3 H’kandi, 3 Kamrup (R), 1 each from Cachar, Darrang, S’pur, S Salmara,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
With the new cases, the number of COVID19 positive cases in Assam stands at 2,145.
Earlier, a total of 784 COVID19 patients were discharged from various hospitals across Assam after their recovery.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 5 persons in Assam so far while 3 cases have migrated from the state.
“Total cases 2937. Recovered 784. Active cases 2145. Deaths 05,” Sarma added.
On Tuesday, Assam has so far registered a total of 102 positive cases.
