For the second day on Wednesday, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb went for an evening walk and detected a suspicious vehicle.

After completion of his routine office work, the Tripura chief minister went for an evening in the New Secretariat Complex area on Wednesday.

Chief minister Deb started walking at around 10 pm and moved towards his government residence from the Secretariat.

On Tuesday also, he returned to his residence from the office on foot.

During his walk on Wednesday night, chief minister Deb noticed some suspicious activities inside a car taking advantage of the darkness in the corner between the ILS hospital and the Shamolima residential complex.

He immediately ordered one of his security officials to look into the matter and take action.

After completion of his walk, Deb also called a top police official and enquired how such suspicious activities could take place in a secured area, so close to the Secretariat and Raj Bhavan.

Later speaking to the reporters, Deb said, “During walk this evening, I got a feel of the ground reality and took note of the existing law and order in Agartala.”

“I will continue this routine and in the coming days. I shall walk in different areas in the late evening so that I can get to know the ground reality.”

“I would love to walk the extra mile so that the people of Tripura can have a sound sleep without any worries,” he added.

Deb has set a new strategy since Tuesday and plans to visit various areas on foot in the name of evening walk where he can do his exercise and have a picture of the ground reality at the same time.
