Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday launched various digital initiatives for the State along with Union Minister of Law and Justice and Electronics and IT, Ravi Shankar Prasad in a programme organized in Guwahati.

During this programme, various similar initiatives were also organized for each of the north-eastern states.

Notably, the most number of initiatives were launched for Tripura in order to bolster the efforts made by Biplab Kumar Deb’s Government to build a Digital Tripura.

Deb extended deep gratitude to Union IT Minister, Prasad for giving maximum number of new initiatives for the State of Tripura.

He also stated that the Digital Northeast Vision will play an instrumental role in attaining Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making the region as the ‘Ashtalakshmi’ of India.

Among the initiatives launched, Digital classrooms project which has been launched shall help in imparting quality education to the students of Tripura.

The landmark initiative of launching ‘MyGov Tripura’ portal was also undertaken on Saturday.

This portal shall provide a robust citizen engagement platform to the 37 lakh citizens of Tripurs for engaging with the State Government in a more cohesive manner thereby ushering in good governance in the State.

Another center of STPI at Indranagar was launched thereby providing yet another platform for IT entrepreneurs which shall immensely aid the development of IT sector in Tripura.

The Chief Minister also announced that it was a moment of immense pride that Tripura became the first state in the Northeast to have 100 per cent state district administration websites as per the S3WaaS framework.

This shall make these websites more citizen friendly and also enhance it’s safety, reach and accessibility.

He appreciated the role played by District Administration in ensuring this achievement.
