Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is presently in New Delhi where he is having series of meetings with Union Ministers like J P Nadda, Giriraj Singh, Nitin Gadkari and Dharmendra Pradhan and discussed various issues related to the State.
Deb in his official twitter handle wrote:
‘Informed Union Health Minister JP Nadda regarding the efforts made by Tripura government for making drug abuse free Tripura. We are committed to developing a swasthaTripura for a swastha bharat’.
During his meeting with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, the Tripura Chief Minister requested him to start four-lane expressway from Agartala Airport to Amtali area.
He impressed upon Gadkari that it will boost tourism potential in the State.
Deb also called on Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Giriraj Singh.
In a tweet, Singh said he had a ‘fruitful meeting’ with Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and spoke on developing ‘cluster-based development model’ and bamboo-based small scale industries.
During his meeting with Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Deb pointed out that the State is facing huge revenue loss due to a total relaxation on VAT on OTPC which runs a profit making Palatana power plant in Udaipur.
In course of the meeting, Deb urged the Union Minister to shift OTPC office from Delhi to Tripura to which Pradhan agreed and assured to do the needful as soon as possible.
