AGARTALA: A total of nine nominations have been filed for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Tripura West constituency.
This was informed by Dr Vishal Kumar, the returning officer overseeing the Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency in Agartala.
Among the candidates who filed their nominations on Wednesday (March 27) are Biplab Kumar Deb from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ashish Kumar Saha of the Congress.
“Today marked the culmination of the nomination filing period for the West Parliamentary Lok Sabha Constituency. Thus far, nine individuals, inclusive of independent candidates, have submitted their nominations. Notably, Biplab Kumar Deb of the BJP and Ashish Kumar Saha of the Congress are among the contenders,” stated Dr Vishal Kumar.
“The scrutiny of the nomination papers is slated to commence at 11 am tomorrow. Candidates will retain the option to withdraw their nomination papers until March 30,” he further elaborated.
