Bipasha was determined to qualify at least in one examination.

In her first attempt in 2015, Bipasha failed to clear the ATC examination.

But in December 2017, she finally managed to clear the exam in her second attempt.

Bipasha comes from a remote tribal village in Tripura’s Khowai district.

She worked at Mutha Industries Private Limited as a market executive.

But when she realized that her dream of becoming an ATC was fading away, she left her job.

After clearing ATC exam she was in six month training, and got her first posting at Mumbai International Airport.

Bipasha was in Mumbai for about 10 months. But suddenly her father Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhal suffered a brain stroke last year in the month of June.

After her father fell ill, she wanted to get back home. Bipasha was transferred to Agartala Airport towards the end of last year.

After reaching Agartala, she realized that she was the first lady Air Traffic Controller from Tripura.

Today, Bipasha is still not sure whether her father understood that she is the first lady ATC of Tripura.

Her father, Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhal is still bed-ridden and is not in his complete senses.

In her childhood days, Bipasha used to watch air craft investigation serial on the National Geographic channel with her father.

She was always fascinated watching those shows and wished to be an ATC.

“The first thing I came to know as a child that this job is is going to be stressful,” Bipasha said.

After all, the air traffic controller is responsible for the safety of so many people up in the air.

“There is a high degree of safety involved with the job which attracted me towards it,” she said.

Bipasha wants to be a happy person, taking care of her family.

Professionally, she wants to gain radar ratings as a successful air traffic controller.

Sachin Devbarman who is Bipasha’s boss at ATC Agartala is the first air traffic controller from Tripura.

According to Devbarman, Bipasha is doing well. And, Agartala airport director Vipin Seth is also excited with Bipasha.
