Cyclonic storm coupled with rain and thundershowers in the past few days has caused massive damage to water and power supply in Northeastern state of Tripura.

Storm has caused extensive damage to the entire Chakmaghat and few ADC villages under Teliamura SD in Khowai district of Tripura. Gusty storm has damaged transmission lines and uprooted big trees. Roof tops of several houses were blown away by the Nor’wester. At least 40 houses were damaged during the storm

Affected families have taken shelter at Juimodhu HS School.  Legislator Atul Debbarma along with others reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The district administration is also gearing up to render all possible help to the affected people.
