Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb has stated that variants of COVID-19 mutate into another form after infecting people.

Tripura CM Biplab Deb, who also holds the health portfolio of the state said, “A variant of COVID-19 may mutate into another variant in 15 days after infecting a person.”

CM Deb said: “The central government is monitoring the COVID situation across the country and we in Tripura are following all guidelines.”
