Eleven more people, including seven BSF personnel, tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, taking the total number of coronavirus cases in Tripura to 166, informed Chief Minister Biplab Deb.
In a tweet, on Saturday morning Deb informed that out of the 625 samples tested on Friday, 11 persons tested positive.
“625 samples have been tested for #COVID19 and among them, 11 persons found #COVID19 POSITIVE,” Deb tweeted.
“7 people from 86-Bn BSF & 4 civilians from Churaibari Gate ( 2 drivers from other states, 2 people returned from Guwahati ). All the POSITIVE patients are under proper medical care,” he added.

On Friday 13 BSF personnel were discharged from hospital taking the tally of discharged people in the state to 42.
