During coronavirus screening at Akhaura Integrated Check Point in Tripura, a Bangladeshi national with high body temperature was sent back as health official did not want to take any undue risks.
The Bangladeshi national has been identified as a resident of Chittagong.

“During coronavirus check-up at ICP on Tuesday, the medical help desk found that the man from Bangladesh was having high temperatures they immediately sent him back,” informed Debasish Das, west chief medical officer.
Speaking to the media Tripura Family Welfare and Preventive Medicines Director Radha Debbarma informed that so far no coronavirus-related case has been reported in Tripura.
Meanwhile, Tripura health department has issued an advisory urging the people to avoid or postpone mass gatherings till the coronavirus spread is contained.

The department further asked the people to adopt required restrictions on mass gatherings for avoiding acute respiratory illness, influenza-like illness and also coronavirus.
It was also informed by the health department officials that help desks would be set up at Dharmanagar Railway Station in North district of the state.
