Tripura health officials on Saturday send 16 more people to quarantine after they were found to have attended the religious congregation in Nizamuddin.
Health department officials informed that the 16 persons had returned to the state on March 14.

“After they reached Tripura on March 14, we sent them for home quarantine for 14 days. But at that time we had no idea about the religious congregation,” said a health department official.
“Last night we were informed that they had attended the religious congregation and accordingly we have sent them to institutional quarantine and we test their samples today,” the official added.
“These men are originally from Mumbai and they have come to their relatives’ place here in Agartala,” the official further added.

So far there has been no positive COVID-19 case in Tripura, however, two men from the state have tested positive in Rajasthan.
