Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has said that the Congress and CPI (M) have been together to loot the country and added that today the Congress is under the guidance of CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury.

Deb stated this while addressing the party workers at Pratapgarh near here on Wednesday.

Deb’s statement came at a time when AICC president Rahul Gandhi was addressing a public rally at Khumlung, located about 20 kms from Pratapgarh.

Deb said that the Left rule in Tripura would have ended in 2013 had the Congress leaders campaigned well in the state.

“Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had cancelled their scheduled visit to Tripura in the last moment to make sure the Left remains in power in the state. The Congress played politics at the cost of the innocent party workers,” said Deb.

It may be mentioned here that AICC president Rahul Gandhi has kick started the party’s campaign for the Lok Sabha polls recently in the Northeast.

While Gandhi addressed two rallies in Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur yesterday, he addressed a public rally in Agartala today.

Gandhi while addressing a mammoth public rally at Khumlung today said that while the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government assured to create two crore jobs every year, hundreds and thousands of people are losing jobs every day in the country and that about one crore people have lost their jobs in last one year.

Gandhi also hit out at the BJP led government at the Centre over demonetization and said people have made their black money white taking advantage of the demonetization.
