Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has directed government officials to complete the work of COVID-19 relief distribution within three days. 

The COVID-19 relief distribution to the affected families across Tripura, will be done under Chief Minister Covid Special Package scheme in a “mission mode”. 

Secretary of the Revenue Department – Tanusree Deb Barma has issued a notification instructing officials to visit 23 specified sub-divisions and monitor the disbursal of relief. 

The affected families will be given packets of dry ration and cash through direct bank transfer.

The revenue secretary has issued a notification saying that government assistance should reach all the beneficiaries under the scheme between June 30 and July 2. 

“…it has been decided to complete providing aforesaid assistance on a three-day mission mode approach from June 30, 2021 to July 2, 2021,” read the notification. 

During the second wave of COVID-19 in Tripura, the state government has announced a package for the financially weaker section. 

One official each has been appointed for 23 sub-divisions. They will visit the sub-divisions and monitor the overall situation and submit the report to the Chief Secretary at the end.
