Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday called on union home minister Amit Shah, union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and several other union ministers in New Delhi.
During his meeting with the union home minister, the Tripura CM requested him to speed up the CBI probe into the Rose Valley chit fund and the journalist murder cases.
Informing about this, chief minister Deb on his Twitter handle said, “During the meeting with @HMOIndia Shri @AmitShah ji today I requested him to speed up the CBI investigations of Rose Valley chit fund & popular journalist murder cases. The culprits involved in both cases should get severe punishment.”

The chief minister hoped that the CBI probe into the Rose Valley chit fund case would give justice to the investors from financial weak families of Tripura.
Deb claimed that as a prompt response to his request union home minister Shah instructed top officials of the home ministry to expedite the probe into both the Rose Valley chit fund and journalist murder cases.

Deb tweeted, “CBI investigation in Rose Valley chitfund case will give full justice to poor investors of Tripura.”
“Accepting my request hon’ble HM has instructed top officials to expedite investigation for both the cases. It is expected that in few days CBI will come to Tripura in this regard,” added the CM.

The CM also informed that they had extensive discussion on various issues.
“Informed him about various development works of our State Government & the Pro People policies that we took,” he tweeted.
“He has appreciated our work & assured further support,” Deb added.

The Tripura CM also met union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the national capital on Thursday.
During his meeting with Sitharaman, the CM thanked her for the steps taken by the finance ministry to “reform and boost the economy” of the country.
Informing about the meeting with Sitharaman, Deb on his Twitter handle said he discussed with her about the ongoing projects, economic issues related to Tripura.

Besides, the chief minister also called on union minister for social justice and empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot at New Delhi and discussed with him regarding various social development issues of Tripura.
“Thawar Chand Gehlot ji has assured me full help from the Central Government,” tweeted Deb.
The Tripura CM also met union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at New Delhi.
“Had productive discussion on various issues,” he tweeted.
