Agartala: Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha slammed the ruling BJP, claiming that the party in power has completely paralyzed the education system in the state, pushing students’ futures into uncertainty.
Addressing reporters at Khowai after an organizational meeting, Saha said, “The results of Vidyajyoti schools clearly show the faults of the state government and their weaknesses. The government must find a solution. Parents are worried, and students are changing schools, leading to a rise in dropout numbers. The number of English teachers is very low. The government has introduced such schemes just to fool people and for advertisement purposes, paralyzing the education department. They are playing with students’ lives.”

He said that two days back the BJP held a protest rally, but they should protest against the former Education Minister and former Chief Minister, asking why parents and students are facing problems.
“They are pushing the future of students into uncertainty. The schools under Vidyajyoti have no facilities and no infrastructure. The state has no guardian. Where will people go? The government must think seriously about Vidyajyoti,” he told reporters.
On the election results, he said, “Across the country, the fourth phase of the poll concluded. If you look at the real pictures now coming out on social media, you can see that the Congress party and the INDI bloc are set to form the government with a thumping majority.”
