Guwahati: A massive haul of suspected heroin worth Rs 105 crore was seized by the police in Cachar, Assam on Sunday.
According to sources, the suspected drugs originated from Mizoram and were kept concealed in a secret chamber of a car.

Based on inputs, the police initiated an operation and nabbed three people moving suspiciously.

Their car was intercepted and on checking, the police found around 10.33 kg of suspected heroin hidden in it.

Of the total drugs, the police found 1.54 kg kept in soap boxes and around 8.78 kg packed in some bags.
The police said on further verifying the suspected drugs, it was found to be worth around Rs 105 crore in the international grey market.

The three persons apprehended in the incident have been identified to be residents of the neighbouring Mizoram.
An investigation has been initiated.
