Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to receive Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb’s return gift on Sunday. 

After receiving mangoes as a gift from Bangladesh PM – Sheikh Hasina, Tripura CM – Biplab Deb parcelled the state fruit – ‘Queen’ variety of pineapple on Sunday to the Bangladeshi PM.

A total of 100 cartoons of pineapples has been sent from Tripura to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  

A total of 400 pineapples, 4 in each cartoon, weighing around 650 kgs, have been sent to the Bangladesh Prime Minister. 

TK Chakma, head of the industry and commerce department, handed over the pineapples to Indian Deputy High Commission in Chittagong at the Agartala Integrated Check-post at 8 in the morning on Sunday.

Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka will hand over the return gift sent by the Tripura Chief Minister to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

Earlier on Monday, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had sent 300 kilos of mangoes as gift to Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb. 

The mangoes, gifted to Tripura CM Biplab Deb, were of the Haribhanga variety, which is one of the most famous mangoes found in Bangladesh.   

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina had also sent mangoes to PM Narendra Modi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma and Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma.
