Within 12 hours after the attack on Tripura Congress president Pijush Biswas on Sunday, CPI(M) MP Jharna Das Baidya’s house was attacked by miscreants.
Tripura Congress president Pijush Biswas was attacked at Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district in the morning on Sunday.
Pijush Biswas claimed he was attacked by BJP-backed miscreants.

He informed that some Congress workers were also injured in the attack.
In the afternoon, incidents of attack were also reported from various other parts of Agartala.
Rajya Sabha MP and CPI(M) leader Jharna Das Baidya’s house at the Matripalli area in Agartala was attacked by miscreants on Sunday.
Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Students’ Federation of India (SFI) jointly called for a rally at Badhargaht on Sunday.
The students and youth members of the left organisations assembled in front of the Badhatghat CPI(M) office for the rally.
But just before the start of the rally, miscreants attacked the DYFI, SFI members and other left activists.
DYFI state president Palash Bhowmik alleged that 10-12 of their supporters were injured in the attack.
After the attack, they had to cancel the rally, Bhowmik said.
MP Jharna Das Baidya was also present in the programme.
She alleged that BJP-backed miscreants tried to attack her and when they failed they attacked her security personnel.
She informed that as the rally was cancelled, she returned home.
“Around 30-40 bikers came and vandalized our house,” Baidya said.
CPI(M) Dukli subdivision office was also attacked and vandalized by miscreants on SUnday.
Two CPI(M) workers were beaten and a few bikes and one car were also damaged by the miscreants.
The members of the left students and youth organisations organized a protest rally at Agartala in protest against the attacks.
Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) at Agartala informed that after receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and tried to control the situation.
The police have started an investigation into the incidents of attack.
Tripura Congress has called for a 12-hour strike on Monday condemning the attacks on state president of the Congress, Pijush Biswas on Sunday morning at Bishalgarh.
