With the demise of 6 more positive patients due to COVID19 infections in Tripura, the death toll increased to 36 on Thursday.

The health department in its bulletin, issued on Thursday, confirmed that the COVID19 death toll in Tripura stands at 36.

However, in the bulletin, there is no mention about the districts that the victims belong to.

The bulletin also did not mention if the victims had any co-morbidities.

According to the bulletin, Tripura has registered a total of 5,743 COVID19 positives cases including 1,826 active patients.

Meanwhile, 67 other patients were discharged on Thursday after their recovery.

With these patients, a total of 3,860 patients have recovered in Tripura so far.

The recovery rate is 67.42% while the total COVID19 tests conducted in Tripura per million is 47,839.

A total of 18 positive patients migrated from the state.

So far, India has recorded 20,19,930 confirmed COVID19 cases, including 41,573 deaths.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have reported the highest number of COVID19 positive cases.

However, infections are rising rapidly in states like Assam and Karnataka.

On Thursday, Assam registered 2,372 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 52,817.

Assam has recorded a total of 126 COVID19 deaths, which is highest in the Northeast.
