Agartala: The Supreme Court is set to conduct a special Lok Adalat week from July 29 to August 3, during which 49 cases from Tripura will be heard.
Jhuma Dutta Chowdhury, the member secretary of the Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA), noted that 34 cases were initially forwarded to the pre-Lok Adalat for conciliation by the Supreme Court.

“Subsequently, more cases from Tripura were included. The pre-Lok Adalat conciliation process, initiated by the Tripura State Legal Services Authority under the Supreme Court’s directive, commenced on June 25,” stated a press release.
It also mentioned that the pre-Lok Adalat conciliation process would continue until July 22 at the High Court Legal Services Committee office.
“All parties involved have been notified, and there is an option to participate in the pre-Lok Adalat conciliation hearing via video conference if needed. Most of the pre-Lok Adalat conciliation processes for the cases related to the special Lok Adalats have already been completed at the offices of the District Legal Services Authority and the High Court Legal Services Committee,” the statement added.
