A two-day programme christened ‘Purvottaran- The rise of North East’ got underway at the Tripura University on Thursday.
Organized by the Department of Business Management of Tripura University the programme is being held for its third consecutive year.

The programme was inaugurated by Tripura University Vice Chancellor Prof V L Dharurkar.
Satyajit Ganguly, MD, OTPC; Prof Chandrika Basu Majumder, Dean Arts and Commerce; Dr Debarshi Mukherjee, HoD, Department of Business Management and faculty members of the department were present at the inauguration.
In his welcome address Dr Mukherjee, HoD of Department of Business Management explained about the objectives of the programme saying this kind of programme would help students to develop their personality and managerial skills.

Speaking on the occasion, Satyajit Ganguly , MD, OTPC elaborated on various purposes to become a manager. He motivated students to become entrepreneur and also to create jobs and make contribution the society.
The second part of the programme was witnessed folk dance performances by the students including bihu and kokborok.
Students also showcased their talent and creativity through advertisements, business quiz and management games.
