“We have implemented fuel rationing as this situation is likely to remain till November 13. Two-wheelers will get fuel worth Rs 200, three-wheelers Rs 400 and four-wheelers Rs 1,000 per day,” he added.

The minister, along with officials from various departments, has been monitoring the petrol pumps to assess the situation and evaluate the available fuel stocks.

“We are also closely monitoring for any signs of black marketing. I have spoken with the General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway who has assured me that rail services will be restored by November 13 and normal fuel supplies will resume by November 14,” Chowdhury informed.

He urged the public to acknowledge that this temporary disruption is beyond the government’s control.

Chowdhury warned that strict action would be taken against any attempts to exploit the situation through black marketing.

He instructed the petrol pump owners not to engage in black marketing, reiterating that any filling station found involved in such practices would be shut down along with facing penalties.
