Tripura deputy chief minister Jishnu Debbarma is scheduled to inaugurate a fair under ATMA project in the State from February 16 to 18 .
Tripura Assembly deputy speaker Biswabandhu Sen, TIDC chairman Tinku Roy and others are also expected to remained present in the programme.
Agriculture SP Surajit Roy held a press conference at Agriculture office conference hall at Dharmanagar Chandrapur on Thursday in this regard.
The two-day long fair will be held at Kadamtala School Field. The aim is to double the production of the farmers by the year 2022.
A total of 30 stalls is being set up at the fair. More than 15 stalls will display products related to agriculture and fishery departments along with others who will also participate in the fair.
Vegetables will also be displayed by the three SD of North District and prizes will be given for the best quality production.
The experts will speak on several technicalities and new process for development of agriculture products.
The ATMA at district level would be increasingly responsible for all the technology dissemination activities at the district level. It would have linkage with all the line departments, research organizations, non-governmental organizations and agencies associated with agricultural development in the district.
