The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday demanded an unconditional public apology from Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for using rude names while speaking against the Congress party.
The Congress party said that speaking about the party by using objectionable words such as ‘band of satan’, ‘sly fox’, ‘thief’ showed Deb’s ignorance of decorum of dignified speech.

As per reports, the Congress party said that it is inappropriate for a political leader of such a high position to use rude words while speaking about the rival party and return of former BJP Tripura vice president Subal Bhowmik to Congress.
Bhowmik had been a Congress leader in the late 1970s. Later, he left Congress and formed his own party – Tripura Pragatisheel Grameen Congress in 2013.
He joined BJP in 2014 and was named BJP vice president of Tripura.

The Congress party asked Deb to prove his false allegations or offer an apology to both the party and Bhowmik.
The party added in a statement that while the Indian Constitution grants the right to free practice of political activities to everyone, the BJP always condemns and talks fouls against people who leave the party and is also inattentive to the individual rights and freedom of people.
It also added that Deb seemed to have forgotten that many of the BJP supporters are now supporting other political parties.
It also accused Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar of being involved in an ‘unholy nexus’.
The Chief Minister recently said that the Congress party was a ‘party of traitors’ and also dubbed the party as ‘anti-Tripura’.
He also alleged that there existed an “unholy nexus” between the Congress and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at the Centre, due to which the Left Front Government managed to be in power for 25 years in Tripura.
