Biplab Kumar Deb Chief Minister of Tripura inaugurated a workshop on disaster management at Pragna Bhawan in Agartala.
Speaking at the program the CM said, “NorthEast India is one of the most disaster prone regions in Asia. Therefore disaster management and preparedness is crucial for our state.Delighted to participate in today’s seminar on disaster management. Our Govt. will vigorously pursue disaster management efforts in the state.”

The program was conducted jointly by Indian building congress, Tripura centre, IBC West Bengal Centre, IBC Tamil Nadu and CPWD, Tripura zone and NIT.
IBC Chairman Er C Debnath, DG CPWD, Er Abhay Kr Sinha, Vice Chairman Er SK Nandi were also present at the program.
Disaster management is the organization and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspect of emergencies. The aim is to reduce the harmful effect of all hazards, including disasters.
