Thunderstorm with gusty wind and lightning are likely to occur during the next five days in several parts of Assam.
According to Regional Meteorology Centre (RMC), Kamrup (Metro) district is very likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places on Sunday.
The district is very likely to experience thunderstorm with gusty wind with a speed varying between 40 kmph and 50 kmph at some isolated places, said RMC.
On April 13, the district is very likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places, while on April 14 and 15, it is likely to experience thunder squall with speed varying between 50 kmph and 60 kmph at isolated places.
Kamrup district is likely to witness thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places.
Thunderstorm with gusty wind, with speed varying between 40 kmph and 50 kmph, is very likely to hit isolated places in the district on Sunday.
The district is likely to experience thunder squall (with speed between 50-60 kmph) at isolated places on Tuesday and Thursday.
Similar natural phenomena are likely to hit most of the other districts of the Brahmaputra Valley and the hill districts of Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao till April 15, while among the Barak Valley districts, Cachar is very likely to experience such phenomena at isolated places on Sunday.
