Thousands of Naga people came together in New Delhi on Wednesday in rally for an early, inclusive and honourable solution to the protracted Indo-Naga peace process.
The rally was organized by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) in collaboration with the Naga Students’ Union, Delhi (NSUD).

The theme of the rally was ‘Implement the Principles of Framework Agreement’.
The rally began from Mandi House till Parliament Street in the national capital.

Earlier, a press statement issued by NSF stated that the rally decision was taken against the backdrop of Prime Minister’s advice to R N Ravi to find solution in three months time, within the Constitution of India.
This they feel directly negates the principle of the Framework Agreement signed between the government of India and the NSCN-IM.
The rally witnessed Supreme Court lawyer Prabu; Dal Khalsa spokesperson; Kanwar Pal Singh; Supreme Court lawyer Worso Zimik; Naga Hoho General Secretary Elu Ndang; NSUD president Hinoto Awomi; and NSF president Ninoto Awomi, taking the stage to address the gathering, among others.

Earlier, NSF president Awomi, in his address, sought to highlight that Wednesday’s gathering is not a sign of defiance but a peaceful assertion of ‘our legitimate rights based on historical facts’.
Meanwhile, a memorandum was also submitted to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In the memorandum, the Federation urged Modi not to compare or subject the Naga issue to any other political issues in the country and even abroad and that the promise of a unique solution based on the unique history is brought forth to the Naga people at the earliest.
The Federation also categorically stated that Naga people would never accept a solution that is imposed upon them saying.
“We shall not accept a solution that is not honourable and also ensure that the dignity of every Naga individual is respected,” it stated.
