Assam police probing the death of businessman and Congress leader Anupam Bardoloi have sent the ‘suicide note’ recovered from near the body for forensic examination.
Guwahati City Commissioner of Police, PC Saloi on Friday said that the police had sent the suicide note recovered from near the body to forensic science laboratory for examination and added that police were going step by step in probing the case.
“We are going step by step into the case. We will take whatever action is required during the course of investigation,” Saloi said on Friday when asked if police are planning to interrogate some people who were named by Bardoloi in the ‘suicide note’.
Police, however, refused to divulge anything about the ‘’suicide note”.
Bardoloi was found hanging inside a room of his house on December 19, a day after his birthday.
After his death, Assam based television channel, ‘News 18 Assam & NE’ claimed that in his suicide note, Bardoloi has mentioned the name of Zubeen Garg, a woman political leader and an actress.
Zubeen’s wife Garima Saikia Garg, however, said that the singer did not have any personal relationship with Anupam and his wife Chinmoyee Bardoloi.
“Zubeen did not have any personal relationship with Anupam and his wife Chinmoyee. Chinmoyee just once contacted Zubeen for a photo shoot,” Zubeen’s wife Garima told Northeast Now.
“We have full faith on police as well as on laws of the land. Everything will be clear when investigation is completed,” she said.
Some of the close associates of Anupam Brdoloi told the news channel that he was under tremendous mental pressure for last few months. They claimed to have seen the suicide note of Bardoloi and said that Bardoloi had named a popular singer and an anchor of Assam in the suicide note.
