The students of Chirang district in Assam are now visiting the national capital as part of the National Integration Tour to Dehradun, Agra and Delhi organised by the Red Horns Division of the Indian Army.
This is the first visit of these children to a metropolitan city.

The children are amazed to see magnificence of the city with its fast moving life.
“The students visited Red Fort, Seeshganj Gurudwara, Jama Masjid and India Gate,” informed official sources.
The students also witnessed Jantar Mantar, which is a collection of 13 architectural astronomy instruments built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur and were amazed by seeing the grandeur of these national landmarks that they till now had only studied about it in their textbooks.

After that, the children visited Connaught place, which is one of the largest commercial centres in New Delhi and Palika Bazar, which is an underground market located between inner and and outer circle of Connaught place.
Earlier, the students visited the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
The students also interacted with the Deputy Commandant, who motivated the children to join the finest military institution in the world.
The students also visited various training facilities in the IMA and witnessed the training of Indian Army officer cadets.
The students were mesmerized by the grandeur of the academy, said reports.
