Five footballers from Sikkim have been shortlisted for trials to be selected for playing in the U-15 India team.

These five young footballers have been shortlisted for further trials from the recent U-15 selection trails held on September 12 and September 13 at Paljor Stadium by the All India Football Federation Chief Scout, Vikram Nanivadekar and AIFF Coach Suren Chettri.

The shortlisted footballers from Sikkim are Evan Thapa, Oma Hang Limboo, John Tshering Lepcha, Orbanus Darjee and Thankchok Hang Subba.

It was informed that this news has been communicated to Sikkim Football Association (SFA) by the All India Football Federation, New Delhi.

Sikkim Football Association president Menla Ethenpa has congratulated the boys for their selection and thanked the AIFF Chief Scout for selecting Gangtok as one of the venues for the trials.

Ethenpa further requested the AIFF to organise more football scouting ventures in Sikkim in the future to unearth more talent from the State.
