Sikkim on Sunday logged 170 new COVID-19 cases, a health department bulletin stated. 

The new cases took Sikkim’s overall caseload up to 20,111. 

Of the new cases detected in Sikkim, 65 were detected in East Sikkim district, 55 in West Sikkim and 50 in South Sikkim. 

The Himalayan state currently has 2137 active cases.

These new cases in Sikkim have been detected after testing 817 samples.     

The new cases in Sikkim have been detected at a positivity rate of 20.8%.   

17,421 people in the State so far have recovered from the disease. 

Meanwhile, 252 coronavirus-positive patients have migrated to other states. 

Sikkim’s recovery rate currently stands at 86.6 per cent.
