GANGTOK: Krishna Kumari Rai, newly elected as MLA from the Namchi-Singhithang constituency in Sikkim and wife of chief minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, resigned from her position on Thursday (June 13), just a day after being sworn in.

Confirming the resignation, Sikkim legislative assembly secretary Lalit Kumar Gurung stated that Speaker MN Sherpa has accepted Krishna Kumari Rai’s resignation.
