Meanwhile, Sikkim has recorded 24 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The State’s total COVID-19 cases tally has risen to 5263, with 366 of them being active cases.
Meanwhile, as many as 4685 patients in the State have been discharged from hospitals after having recovered from the deadly virus.

Notably, Sikkim recorded its first coronavirus case in late May and since then the State has witnessed a rapid surge in total cases.
Earlier, Chief Minister PS Tamang had announced that the people of Sikkim will be administered coronavirus vaccine free of cost.
“The pandemic is not over yet. We should be following all the necessary protocols to keep ourselves and others away from the virus,” the PS Tamang said.
“As and when COVID-19 vaccine arrives, our Government will provide it free of cost to every Sikkimese,” the Chief Minister announced.
