A partially visually impaired girl, who went missing from Tsirang in Bhutan, has been rescued in Soreng in West Sikkim.

Police officials said the girl has missing from Bhutan since December 26 last.

She is a student of Damphu Central School in Bhutan.

The girl has now been kept in police custody at Soreng in West Sikkim, said an official.

Royal Bhutan Police Head Quarter has expressed gratitude to Soreng police for their cooperation.

It is not known so far how the girl reached Sikkim.
