It has to be mentioned here that on the occasion of the party foundation day on February 4 last, the party president placed a 35-point demand to the State Government with an ultimatum of February 25 to fulfil all demands.

Following the same, a group of students of Sikkim Law College had filed a petition at Sikkim High Court to restrain the 24 hours state bandh called by the party on Thursday.

In the hearing of the petition on Wednesday, the court passed an order and asked SKM party to immediately call off the bandh and also asked the ruling SDF party to withdraw its peaceful rally on the same day.
