On the same, Khaling urged former chief minister to attend and participate in this Assembly session during the presentation and discussion on the white paper as it was on liabilities and loans taken by SDF government. He informed that the government would also take out second white paper.
He also refuted the claims of SDF spokespersons that Sikkim has the debt of Rs 6000 crores and it was the lowest in the north-eastern region. On the same, he stated that each person of Sikkim has the debt of around Rs one lakh if it was divided with the people of Sikkim as the census of 2011 and this was the highest in the country.
He mentioned that if the debt of other states divided into by its population then it was very low in comparison to the debt on each person of Sikkim.
Likewise, SKM spokesperson Sonam Venchungpa alleged that such huge money has gone to only one per cent section of the people of Sikkim in the SDF government.
He stated that the endeavour of SKM government was to find out where such huge amount of money has gone and who was responsible for the misutilization of this huge amount of money. He added that the State Government would take account of the people’s money and will place to the people of Sikkim.
Venchungpa stated that this Budget session would be shocking for the people to know the misdeeds and misutilization by SDF government.
