Two Sikkimese footballers have been shortlisted for a longest India coaching camp.

All India Football Federation (AIFF) has called Anju Tamang and Lako Phuti Bhutia from Sikkim to attend the coaching camp.

It will be held from 27 December 2018 to 10 April 2019 at Cuttack, Odisha for selection in Senior Women’s National Team.

This is in preparation for the SAFF Women’s Championship 2019 and Women’s Olympic Qualifiers Round.

Sikkim Football Association president Menla Ethenpa said “The selection of our girls for the national camp testifies the hard work put in by these players for the improvement of the game in last couple of years. Such an invitation from the apex body of football in India, AIFF motivates SFA to work more for the development of the game in the state,” He expressed that SFA feels proud of these players and wish them all the very best in the camp.
