Arindam Kapinjal, a cadet of the 41 Meghalaya NCC Artillery Battery in Shillong, will represent India in Kazakhstan during a youth exchange programme conducted by the headquarters of the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

The Meghalaya-based defence PRO also tweeted that Cadet Arindam Kapinjal is a student of St Anthony College in Shillong.

Earlier, Cdt Kapinjal represented the NCC directorate in North Eastern Region (NER) as the best cadet at the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2019 at New Delhi.

Informing this on its official Twitter handle on Saturday, the Shillong-based Defence PRO stated:  “Cdt Arindam Kapinjal of 41 Meghalya NCC Arty Bty, Shillong, to represent India at Kazakhstan, under youth exchange programme conducted by HQ DG NCC,” adding, “A student of St Anthony College ,Shillong ,he represented NCC Dte, NER as best Cdt at RDC 2019 at New Delhi.”

According to media reports, cadet Arindam Kapinjal, who is a senior under officer of 41 Meghalaya NCC Arty Bty.

It has been reported that Col Rajeev Bagga, commanding officer of 41 Meghalaya NCC, was instrumental in grooming Cdt Kapinjal to achieve the success.

Cdt Arindam will be part of the Indian team, which will depart for Kazakhstan soon to participate in the youth exchange programme in the central Asian country.

In September 2018, the 41 Arty Battery, NCC group in Shillong conducted its annual training camp CATC-53 for the boys of Meghalaya.

The camp was held from September 4 to 12, 2018 at Umroi Cantonment.

The cadets were trained by the 41 Arty Battery, Shillong on various activities like drill, adventure, firing, team building exercises and various group activities.

During that training, the NCC cadets of the Meghalaya were also shortlisted to represent their zone for selection in the NE Region directorate team for the Republic Day Camp (RDC) at New Delhi.
