Senior journalist of Kokrajhar in Assam’s BTAD area passed away at around 10 pm on Thursday night.
He breathed his last at the Rup Nath Brahma Civil Hospital in Kokrajhar.
The demise of such a senior journalist of the region has created a void in the field of journalism with which he was associated for the last two decades.
He was associated with several vernacular dailies like Asomiya Pratidin, Ajir Dainik Batori, and lately he was associated with the Amar Asom newspaper.
His writings were appreciated by many, including stalwarts like Homen Borgohain, Ajit Kumar Bhuyan and Haider Hussain.
Nath was known to have been associated with the field of journalism during vary difficult times. However, lately, he was unable to write because of his failing health conditions.
His death has been condoled by several quarters including BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary.
