‘This day, when the whole nation celebrates it as the Engineers Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and which also happens to be the silver jubilee for Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Services Association (APESA), is the right time and platform for a brainstorming session and to commit oneself for a new India,” he said.

He called upon the engineers to rise to the occasion and commit oneself to creativity and adopt a holistic approach towards realisation of the full potential.

Earlier, Felix paid floral tributes to the portrait of Engineer Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya at the RWD Circle office Rupa.

SE (RWD), SE (PWD) and SE (PHED) also spoke on the life and works of Visvesvaraya and committed for a strong, beautiful and vibrant state.

A meeting of all the EEs and DPIUs of Tawang, East Kameng and West Kameng along with the concerned firms and contractors was also held to review and deliberate on the status of the various ongoing schemes being implemented in the three districts.

Felix opined that the role of RWD should not be confined only to providing road connectivity in the rural areas rather it should also endeavor to provide livelihood in the rural areas.

Exhorting the engineers to adopt to new technologies and creativity, he said that endeavors are on to give a complete changeover to the department’s image and also assured that fund would not be a constraint but cautioned that non-performers would be taken to task.
