Assam Finance Minster Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said Congress president Rahul Gandhi wants Jinnah to stay in India but does not want Hindus from Bangladesh here.

Sarma said this while speaking at a rally at Ramnagar in Silchar which was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi assured the people that no Indian citizens’ name will be excluded from the NRC and said that the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 will be passed soon.

“Hindus cannot be foreigners in India. We want Hindus, Jain and Christians should live in India but Rahul Gandhi wants only Jinnah should stay in India,” Sarma added.

Launching scathing attack on Gandhi, Minister Sarma said that Rahul Gandhi wants India should not get Rafale fighter jets.

“Rahul wants India must remain below Pakistan as far as Defence capabilities are concerned,” he said.
