Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Saturday launch campaign in Assam for the Lok Sabha polls by addressing two rallies in Assam.
Modi will address two rallies one at Gohpur in Biswanath district and the other at Moran in upper Assam’s Sivasagar district.
While Gahpur falls under Tezpur parliamentary constituency, where the BJP has fielded minister Pallab Lochan Das, Moran is under Dibrugarh constituency.
In Dibrugarh the saffron party has fielded incumbent MP Rameswar Teli against Pawan Singh Ghatowar of the Congress.
Both the constituencies will go to the polls on April 11.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed preparations for Modi’s visit to Moran and Gohpur.
