With the election fever gripping the country, major rallies and campaigning by political is picking up pace in Assam featuring the likes of BJP biggies Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
BJP started their star campaigning with Babul Supriyo yesterday who held rally in Tinsukia. Supriyo who rallied for BJP canditate Rameshwar Teli who is contesting from Dibrugarh Constituency went on to speak at length about how much the state of Assam has benefitted under the BJP rule and will benefit more in every sector if the party stays in power.
This week the state will witness some major rallying too.
On Thursday, BJP chief Amit Shah will hold rallies at Kaliabor and Jorhat on Thursday while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will campaign at Gohpur and Moran on Saturday.
The Congress too on the other hand are stepping their campaigning in the state with senior leaders including President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who will address various public ralllies in the state.
BJP’s ally Asom Gana Parishad leaders Atul Bora, Keshab Mahanta, AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal, BPF President Hagrama Mahilary will also be seen campaigning for their party candidates.
