If the problems like job losses are not resolved, then people may seek the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday.

“People’s patience has a limit. They cannot just survive on hope and assurances,” Raut said.

“Even Prime Minister Modi will agree that even though Lord Ram’s exile has ended, the present situation is difficult. No one had ever felt so insecure about their lives,” he further said.

It may be mentioned here that around 10 crore people in the country have lost their livelihoods due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his weekly column Rokthok in the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana, the MP further said, “Salaried middle-class people have lost their jobs, while the trade and industry have suffered losses to the tune of about Rs four lakh crore.”

He further said that Israel is witnessing protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and there are demands for his resignation over the failure to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis.

“India, too, could witness the same,” the MP further said.
