Manipur University is in a state of fresh turmoil after the police raided at the boys’ hostels of the University in the intervening night of September 20 and 21 following a complaint.
The University which was closed for almost three months in view of the total shutdown by the Manipur University Students’ Union from May 30 demanding removal of Vice Chancellor Prof A P Pandey on charges of irregularities, resumed its normal activities from August 23 after signing a Memorandum of Agreement with the government on August 16 last.
