It was indeed a great moment for the ‘swachhta soldiers’ (municipal workers) of Nazira and Sivasagar as ONGC, Assam Asset distributed safety kits to 200 municipal workers, 50 at Nazira and 150 at Sivasagar on Tuesday, on the occasion of ongoing swachhta pakhwada at the Asset.

The safety kit to support the municipal workers includes a pair of shoes & gum boot, jacket, cap, gloves, raincoat and a set of uniform.

It was a satisfactory moment to see joy on the faces of the municipal workers receiving the safety kits.

While extending his greetings on the occasion of swachhta pakhwada, ED-Asset Manager, Assam Asset S D Maske conveyed that this is a humble initiative of ONGC, Assam Asset which would ensure safety and health of the municipal workers who have been relentlessly toiling for a clean and hygienic environment for everyone.

Chairman of municipal board, Nazira, Dilip Hazarika and chairman of Municipal Board, Sivasagar Mridusmita Sinha profusely thanked ONGC, Assam Asset for the endeavour and said that the initiative will go a long way in ensuring a safety and good health of the workers.

Rajiv Kumar, CGM-Head Finance, S K Singh, CGM-Head Well Services, S Murlidharan, GM-I/C HR/ER, Amandeep Singh,  CE-I/C CSR and other senior ONGCians were present on the occasion.

A series of events on swachhta activities like cleanliness drive, tree plantation, awareness campaigns, quiz, drawing and painting competitions are being organized at ONGC, Assam Asset and its operational areas as a part of the ongoing swachhta pakhwada from July 1 to 15.

Inaugurations of various CSR projects are also in pipelines.
