With an aim to provide access to quality and affordable healthcare, Narayana Health City, Bangalore in association with Indian Medical Association, Agartala on Sunday launched a dedicated Gastroenterology OPD in Agartala.
Equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities and a multidisciplinary panel of doctors, the OPD offers free screening for patients for their initial health risks and thereafter assist them with appropriate treatment based on the analysis.
The launch was followed by a free check up for Gastroenterology related issues.
Emphasizing on the need for an exclusive Gastroenterology OPD, Dr Ashwinikumar Kudari, senior consultant – Robotic Surgery, Gastroenterology – Surgical, Narayana Health City, said, “Cases of gastrointestinal issues are on a rise in the north-eastern region and we have witnessed an increase in the inflow of patients to Bangalore for advanced treatment in the recent years. To address this demand, which is in line with our commitment to extend our reach and services for quality healthcare services, we are pleased to partner with IMA for this initiative. As next steps, we look forward to open an information centre to address the city specific needs.”
Diseases related to gastroenterology are treatable. However, in many cases they are ignored.
Owing to the ignorance of the people, they are now quite commonly seen.
The Department of Gastroenterology at Narayana Health emerges as a solution which provides a wide variety of services ranging from the management of advanced gastrointestinal tumours and pancreatic cysts to the treatment of severe illnesses such as ulcerative colitis, colon polyps, gallstones, H Pylori infection and GERD.
