In order to clear the extra rush between passengers, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has a special train between Guwahati and MGR Chennai Central.
According to a notification issued by the general manager (operations) of NFR, Train No. 6337 will run from Guwahati to MGR Chennai Central from March 11, 2020 to April 1, 2020 and Train No. 6338 will run from MGR Chennai Central to Guwahati from March 9, 2020 to March 30, 2020.
Train No. 06337 will leave Guwahati at 11.25 pm on Wednesday and will arrive in MGR Chennai Central at 4:30 am on Saturday.
Train No 06338 will leave MGR Chennai Central at 6:05 am on Monday and will arrive in Guwahati at 2 pm on Wednesday.
According to the notification, the trains will halt at Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Asansol, Bankura, Bhubaneswar, Vizianagaram, Rajahmundry and Vijaywada.
The other commercial stoppages include Kamakhya, Kokrajhar, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, Kishanganj, Barsoi, Durgapur, Adra, Midnapore, Hijri, Balasore, Bhadrak, Khudra Road, Bahrampur, Palasa, Srikulam Road, Kottavalasa, Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot, Tadepalligudam, Eluru , Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur and Sulurpeta.
Out of the total 22 coaches in the trains, there will be one AC-2 tier coach, two AC-3 tier coaches, fourteen sleeper class coaches, three general second class coaches and two SLR/D coaches.
