A meeting of the Public Action Committee (NCD) held on Wednesday discussed the prevailing situation of Dimapur and resolved to demand the Government for immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the Riven Honda showroom shooting incident.

The meeting also resolved that if the Government fails to arrest the culprits within 7 days with effect from November 21, 2018, a 12-hour complete bandh from 5 am to 5 pm would be imposed on November 30, 2018 under Dimapur district.
In a press release issued by Vekhosayi Nyekha, convenor of PAC, NCD and K Ghokheto Chophy, co-convenor, PAC & vice-president, NCD stated: “The culprits are suspected to be from NPGs, therefore, they are asked to identify the culprits and terminate them with immediate effect.”
The meeting also resolved to demand the Government for additional security forces for Dimapur in order to contain the present situation of illegal collection by the NPGs and various organizations.

“No organizations and welfare unions are to ask for donations and sale of any items from shop to shop and shop keepers are not to entertain such activities,” the release stated.
The DUCCF and the Dimapur District Village Council Chairman Union have been requested to organise youths in their respective areas to check and control unwanted elements which is on the rise.
The meeting also resolved to demand the Government to enact criminal laws where a criminal will be non-bailable for at least for one calendar year similar to that of Maharastra laws which will contain the criminals activities in the State.
“The business community are informed to install CCTV in their respective shop and premises with immediate effect for controlling criminal activities,” it added.
